The Tar Heel Circle sponsors non-partisan events, bringing together influential North Carolinians with NC Society and Tar Heel Circle members to engage in dialogue regarding issues of the day in an informal and intimate setting.
The mission of the Tar Heel Circle is to stimulate creative thinking and generate innovative solutions to the great questions and issues that face our state, nation, and the world.
Members of the Tar Heel Circle enjoy interaction with top leaders and staff from Congress, the Administration, and the private sector. In addition to the North Carolina Society’s normal programming, Tar Heel Circle members can attend lunches and receptions featuring honored special guests with close ties to the Old North State.
Previous speakers have included executive branch cabinet secretaries, governors, lt. governors, members of North Carolina’s congressional delegation, UNC System presidents, NC Community College System presidents, and other leaders from various industries.
